PRINCE Charles enjoys the breast of welcomes in Papua New Guinea.
The heir to the throne beamed brightly after being given a garland by a topless woman in traditional dress following his arrival in the country.

Charles and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall were cheered by huge crowds in its capital of Port Moresby at the beginning of their Diamond Jubilee tour.

The royal couple are touring Papua New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand over the next two weeks in celebration of the Queen’s 60-year reign.
Charles – known as the Queen’s “pikinini” in the island nation’s Pidgin English – looked relaxed after his long flight from the UK via Singapore with his wife.

He joked with the country’s Governor General, saying: “It’s very nice arriving when it wasn’t too hot – there was a nice breeze.”
Local schoolchildren clad in traditional dress and body paint performed a traditional ‘hiri’ dance to welcome the royal dignitaries.

The Pacific island nation of Papua New Guinea – who refer to the Queen as “Missis Kwin” – is one of the most culturally diverse nations on the globe.
Its remote regions are home to communities and tribes speaking more than 800 languages.

Later, Charles was bestowed the insignia of a Grand Companion of the Order of Logohu – an honour which carries the title of chief.
Tomorrow the Prince and Duchess’ duties continue with a traditional Sunday church service in a sports stadium.

As colonel-in-chief of the Royal Pacific Islands Regiment, Charles will present the unit with new colours before the royals watch a cultural performance in the arena.
Later in the day the Prince and Duchess will travel to the village of Boera where they will meet tribal elders and watch the production of traditional arts and crafts.
