Apple is rumoured to be unveiling the iPad mini at a press event later this month, but what does the new device look like? A 9to5Mac researcher has posted the latest round of "leaked" photos of the fabled smaller Apple tablet, which appear to confirm much of the iPad mini speculation making the rounds.

Rumours about the iPad mini have been swirling for months. Just yesterday, reports emerged that Apple had ordered 10 million of the smaller tablets.
The iPad mini will reportedly come with a lower resolution screen than that of the standard iPad, and production of those screens began last month via Taiwan's AU Optronics and South Korea's LG Display. Other rumours indicate that the iPad's smaller sibling will be priced competitively against Google's Nexus 7 and Amazon's Kindle Fire HD, which feature in the £160-200 price bracket.
The rumour mill suggests that Apple will send out press invites for an 17 October iPad mini event on 10 October, with the iPad mini hitting stores by 2 November in time for the holiday rush.
